Welcome

We are situated near the centre of Carmarthen town, South-West Wales, within easy walking distance of the train and bus stations. Y Dderwen Fach (the small oak tree), is a 17th century house with 18th and 20th century addition.

There are many original 17th century features, but with 21st facilities including free wifi, central heating and flat screen televisions. There are tea and coffee making facilities and some en-suite rooms. Both my husband and I are usually around to answer questions about the town and the area, and if we don't know the answer, we know a man who does! We also provide free Wi-Fi.

We are conveniently placed for the beautiful beaches of West Wales, the countryside, castles and the national botanic garden of wales. Carmarthen town has many interesting shops and a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

We try to ensure that our guests have a good stay and enjoy their visit to our part of Wales. We have 3 stars from the Welsh Tourist Board.
